Perhaps not one of the best science-fiction movies of our generation, but certainly Luc Besson’s vision of the future is unrivaled for its potency. Unlike many sci-fi movies that look like they were thought up in a musty basement dweller’s dreams of outer space, Besson’s 23rd century is so alive one wonders if it does not exist in a galaxy far, far away.
